We (a couple with 2 young kids) stayed here during the Easter long weekend and highly recommend it. There's a lot to do on the property itself (pottery, bushwalking, stargazing, feeding animals, pony-riding, eating delicious food, relaxing) and also within a reasonable driving distance (e.g., a couple of country towns, the Warrumbungle NP). Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, and the accommodation was spacious, clean, well-equipped and full of character.

The farm is a good place to camp up overnight and staff are great but we found the dirt road into there a little rough therefore I think the camp site should be free☺

5 stars gem in the middle of nowhere. Accommodation is cosy and homely. The nature is breathtaking but most importantly the atmosphere and the care on offer by Maria and her staff is well beyond words. We had a fantastic time doing very little and it feels great. We will be back.

The 6-hour drive from Sydney was surprisingly pleasant, with plenty of nice places to stop along the way (e.g., Blue Mountains, Mudgee) and very light traffic once past Katoomba (even on a long weekend).

An amazing find 10kms off the Newell Highway 30kms north of Coonabarabran. Run by a real goer ex pat German grandmother Maria this working farm has a great blue wren cafe, large pottery, accommodation, camping, walks and a swimming pool. Set in beautiful gardens with lots of birds and friendly dogs it is a family business with work force added to by enthusiastic exotic back packers. The three level school house cottage was a delight with a Germanic touch with sleeping for six but the master attic bedroom was almost unreal. Beware Maria is a superb saleswoman and it's impossible to visit her pottery gallery without a purchase. A most relaxing stop getting away from dodging the prolific numbers of double bees on the highway. What a find.

Really great. Super friendly, beautiful surrounds, and delicious German sausages for dinner.
